An electronic downbeat music project hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, presents its unique fusion of cinematic ambiances. This sonic journey is crafted through a skillful blend of electronics, vocals, samples, and live instruments. Spanning elements of breaks, hip hop, jazz, and loungy electronica, alongside evocative soundtrack-style compositions, Plateaux Techniques maintains a cohesive sound within its eclectic repertoire.
At the helm of this project is producer Mads B. B. Krog, renowned for his track record in club-oriented electronic music production, composition, and remixing. Notably, the album features collaborations with jazz luminaries such as Palle Mikkelborg on trumpet, Chris Minh Doky on bass, and Peter Rosendal on Flugabone, among others.
Plateaux Techniques defies convention by seamlessly weaving together electronic noise, French and Chinese rap, computer game sounds, recorder solos, melodious trumpet interludes, unexpected snippets, acoustic guitars, analog drum machines, water pipes, Mos 6581 synthesis, and more. The result is a unique sonic tapestry that garnered acclaim upon its original release in 2006.
This album was previously available only on limited edition CDs and has never been accessible for streaming or download. However, in 2024, the Plateaux Techniques album will be re-released digitally and on limited edition double vinyls.
